Overview
The service dashboard (or kitchen view) is where your team sees and manages all incoming orders from QR and POS. It keeps everyone aligned on what to prepare next.
This guide explains order statuses, filters, and best practices for using the dashboard during live service.
Order statuses
Orders typically move through the following statuses:
- Pending – Just received and not yet started.
- Preparing – The team is working on it.
- Ready – Ready to serve or pick up.
- Served – Completed for this table or guest.
Use these statuses consistently so your team knows exactly what needs attention.
Viewing & filtering orders
The dashboard shows all active orders, with key details like location, items, time, and status.
- Filter by status (Pending, Preparing, Ready, etc.).
- Filter by location or area if you have many tables.
- Sort by time to prioritize older orders.
Use filters during busy times to avoid overlooking older or high-priority orders.
Order details & actions
Clicking an order shows full details, including notes, modifiers, and any special requests.
- Check item-level modifiers and comments from the guest.
- Update status as you progress.
- Optionally cancel or adjust an order if something changes.
Encourage staff to quickly review notes before preparing to avoid mistakes or missed allergies.
Sound notifications & screens
If available, you can enable sound notifications when a new order arrives. This is especially useful in busy kitchens.
Dedicated tablets or kitchen screens running the service dashboard ensure orders are visible at all times.
