Last updated: 25 December 2025

Overview

Belanzy helps you run modern QR ordering and POS in one simple, clean system. This guide walks you through the basics so you can go from signup to first order in just a few minutes.

You’ll learn how to create your business, set up your menu, add locations and tables, and generate QR codes your guests can use instantly.

Who is Belanzy for?

  • Restaurants & cafés
  • Bars & beach clubs
  • Food courts & food trucks
  • Hotels & hybrid hospitality concepts

Quick setup checklist

If you complete these steps, you’re ready to accept real orders:

  1. Create your business and basic settings.
  2. Add at least one category (e.g. “Drinks” or “Starters”).
  3. Add a few menu items with price and optional photo.
  4. Create a location / table and generate a QR code.
  5. Scan the QR and place a test order.
Tip: start with a small test menu. You can always add more sections and items once your team is comfortable with the flow.

Create your Belanzy account

Go to the Belanzy registration page and create an account using your work email. Once you confirm your email, you’ll be taken directly to the dashboard.

During the first-time setup you will:

  • Give your business a name (shown on the customer-facing menu).
  • Select your default currency.
  • Set your country and tax behavior.

Create your first menu

In the sidebar, go to Menu Categories and add your first category (for example: “Hot Drinks” or “Lunch”).

Then go to Menu Items and click “Add item”.

  • Give your item a clear name.
  • Add a price.
  • Optionally add a photo and description.
  • Assign it to a category.
Good to know: changes to your menu are live instantly, so you can keep it up-to-date throughout the day.

Set up locations & QR codes

Locations help you understand where an order was placed—table numbers, rooms, zones, or takeaway.

  1. Go to Locations in the sidebar.
  2. Create a new location (for example “Table 12” or “Terrace”).
  3. Click on the location to generate a QR code.
  4. Download and print the QR code and place it where guests can see it.

When a guest scans the QR, they’ll see your menu and place orders tied to that location.

Place your first test order

Before going live, place a test order to see exactly what your guests and staff will experience.

  1. Scan one of your printed QR codes with your phone.
  2. Add a few items to the cart and submit an order.
  3. In the Belanzy dashboard, open the Service or Kitchen view to see the order appear.
  4. Change the status through Pending → Preparing → Ready.
Next step: once your team is comfortable with the flow, add the rest of your menu and place QR codes on all active tables or zones.
